Role:

Linqia is looking for a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to develop and execute manual tests in order to ensure product quality. As a Software QA Engineer you will estimate, plan, and coordinate testing activities. You will also ensure that quality issues and defects are appropriately identified, documented, tracked, and resolved in the defect tracking system.

Responsibilities:

* Interpret functional requirements and technical design documents to plan, develop, write, execute, and automate test cases
* Ensure that all application features meet quality objectives in functionality, performance, stability, security, and data quality
* Communicate with the engineering team about issues, security risks, and product quality
* Identify, track, and take ownership of bugs and features
* Become our product expert, understanding all the intricacies of our platform
* Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
* Coordinate releases on a two-week schedule

Qualifications:

* BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
* Proven working experience in software quality assurance
* Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
* Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
* Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
* Good knowledge of SQL and scripting
* Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
* Experience testing a SaaS platform

Nice to Have:

* Demonstrated programming skills in Python, Java, and/or JavaScript
* Experience with Jenkins CI
* Experience writing BDD test cases using Cucumber
* Experience with version control systems (Git, Github)
* Experience with Unix/Linux environments
* Experience with performance and/or security testing
