We're looking for a Senior Deep Learning Researcher to join our team in London.

Limbic is building a scalable solution for mental health. There is currently no way to reliably track emotion. If you can’t measure it, you can’t manage it. We’re building the world’s first emotion-detection AI for consumer wearables.

We're growing quickly and are backed by Entrepreneur First and Google. We’ve also received investment from VC, Angels, and the European Commission.

Limbic was founded by scientists and engineers. You'll be joining our already technical team working at the intersection of neuroscience, physiology, and machine learning. We're a small group, so you'll need to be diverse in your work patterns. But this also means there will be exciting puzzles, fast personal development, and the opportunity to forge your own projects within the company.

It’s challenging. We’re ambitious. And we’re supporting one another to achieve our best and make real impact in the world.

What you will do:

- Lead a small Research team, and work with the Product team, to achieve technical goals for Limbic.
- Develop our core algorithms. We're creating something novel, and your expertise will help drive this. From signal processing, feature engineering, model selection, and hyper-parameter tuning you will be finding emotion in the noise.
- Collaborative research with academia. We have research ongoing with clinical university researchers and aim to publish our results. You will be contributing to these projects and co-authoring papers.

What you will bring:

- An advanced degree (a PhD) in computer science, computational neuroscience, or a related field.
- Experience with relevant research associated with time series modelling, natural language processing, adversarial learning, reinforcement learning, active learning, probabilistic bayesian learning, and/or semi-supervised/multitask learning.
- Deep expertise in Bayesian model approaches
- Knowledge of modern tools for ML such as Tensorflow, Theano, PyTorch etc.
- Experience building research prototypes and developing product-worthy tools from them.
- Previous Industry experience in translating these approaches into commercial / industry setting is essential
- General innovation. We care deeply about intellectual culture at Limbic. We all have the same goals, and we all get a say in how best to achieve these. Get creative!

You should apply if:

- You're excited by our vision at Limbic.
- You believe in the company and want to grow with us.
- You can move fast and get stuff done.
- You can build bespoke time series models and find meaning in noisy data.
- You want to see your work being used out in the real world.
- You want to make a name for yourself at the leading edge of AI.

Limbic is an equal opportunity employer and particularly encourages applications from women and minorities.
