Senior Finance Operations Associate

The Role
As a Finance Operations Associate, you will be responsible for the integrity and quality control of client and employee data across the League and carrier platforms. Working closely with the Finance team, your primary objective will be to build and maintain the technical client invoicing process and ensure all client invoices are provided within required deadlines monthly. You will also be responsible for developing internal reporting on metrics and SLA adherence, as well as developing methodologies for ongoing custom client reporting. Your role will require you to work cross-functionally with our client solutions team, finance team, engineering/developer team, and clients to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner, with a focus to continuously improving the client invoicing and reporting processes. In doing so, your mission is to streamline these data processes and help reduce administrative burden on our clients.
You will:
- Work alongside our implementations teams in the client implementation and discovery process, gathering, documenting, and configuring client requirements in the League system
- Create new and improve existing invoicing and reporting process documentation
- Prepare, review and send client invoices on a monthly basis
- Work alongside the Finance and Product teams to develop requirements for new and improved invoicing products
- Work alongside the Engineering team to resolve client invoicing issues in a timely manner
- Develop new methodologies efficiently prepare and deliver custom client reporting
- Participate in client implementation discovery processes, and configure client profiles to meet requirements in the League system
- Work alongside the Finance team to support the implementation of new finance processes, which often have billing implications
- Support in the client custom payroll reporting process where necessary
- Adhere to and ensure HIPAA complianceAssist with other Operations tasks as necessary
- Establish ongoing process improvement to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Perform and support necessary audits/reviews/quality assurance checks to ensure data accuracy
Your background:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience
- 2+ years of experience at a SaaS, employer health benefits, and/or start-up company highly preferred
- 2+ years of experience at a Consulting Firm / Accounting Firm / Bank is preferred
- Experience with finance/invoicing operations an asset
- Advanced/expert Excel skills (VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, arithmetic formulas, pivot tables, VBA macro, etc.)
- Intermediate / advanced understanding of querying in JSON and/or SQL-based databases a requirement
- Experience with Jira and Salesforce an assetUnderstanding of benefit deductions and how they impact payroll deductions and carrier contributions for spending accounts an asset
