Facing redundancy, eviction or furlough, despite laws existing to protect us, far too many of us say "there's nothing I can do about it" and put up with it.
We're here to change that!
Lawya gives everybody, through a super-simple interface, the lawyer they always wished they had in their pocket.

We've just raise a pre-seed round of funding lead by one of London's top law firms and are now expanding to attack this problem with full might.
Current tech
- Python (Flask) backend on Google App Engine (serverless)
- PostgreSQL database
- React front end on EC2 (for now)
- Other misc aspects in vanilla js, webflow (no-code)
About you
- Able to take the lead on technical projects, mucking in on all aspects
- Comfortable delivering product features from start-to-finish with the full-stack
- You're interested in the intersection of law and technology & the potential for the impact on society
- Excited by tough challenges
- We're open to individuals with different experiences of stacks
- Willing to work for a fast-paced startup early in its life, with all the nuances that involves
- A good eye for design and focused on the user-experience
- Experience working in a lean & agile way
- You understand that how you work with other people is as important as the quality of your work
The role
- This is our first in-house technical hire
- You want to be a leader as the company grows
- You will work directly with the founder on building product features
- Deliver product features / user stories from start-to-finish
- Take the product from MVP stage to a more polished product
