Your Skills
• You can code in some language (preferably Java, or another OOP language)
• You have solved complex problems in your course (e.g. your final year project is one you're proud of)
• Good understanding of algorithms and data structures
• You understand and have worked with RESTful APIs
• You're a fast learner and self-starter
• You've got some understanding of relational databases such as MySQL or Oracle
• You'll come to the interview prepared and knowing roughly what the following mean: Agile, micro-services, Cloud technologies, AWS, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployments, Docker containers, Synchronous vs Asynchronous.
• Extra bonus points if you've had an internship applying some of your tech skills or knowledge

Education (preferred)
• Degree in Computer Science or training in an accredited programme (Expected 1st or 2.1)

How We Work
• Start from a user story and design a solution spanning micro-services
• Develop, test, and deploy software and ensure high code quality at every step
• Collaborate with the team to continuously improve the architecture
• Contribute to continuous improvement within the scrum team
• Participate in the "automate everything" mentality (e.g. Continuous Deployment pipelines, Jenkins, etc.)
• Prototype and spike new concepts, features, and use of technology

Candidate Profile
• Want to be part of the company, not just crunching code all the time - and you know why that makes you a better software engineer
• Not afraid to try things or to fail
• Love white-boarding problems and solutions
• Excited to work in an agile environment with lean processes and as-needed prototyping
• Confident in your convictions but you recognise the value in diverse opinions in the creative process
• Want to do things the right way but accept that sometimes the wrong way is better
• Good sense of humour
• Understand that good interpersonal skills are often more important to developing good software than the tin it sits on.
