Achieving goals is at the heart of every company, yet few have implemented a software-based solution to help them track progress in a regular, repeatable manner. As the first full-time Marketing team member, you’ll help us crack open and lead a new category. Koan’s Marketing Manager is a critical, high-level role who partners closely with the other Go-To-Market members of the team to propel Koan to the next level. We’re looking for a leader who is creative and bold, diligent with managing to the business plan, and maniacal about funnel metrics.

Responsibilities

- Help businesses to understand and realize the full impact Koan can have on their results. Define, engage, and win our market.
- Drive company positioning, product messaging, sales enablement materials, thought leadership pieces, and overall product communications
- Define and communicate value propositions that differentiate Koan, winning the hearts and minds of business owners, sales teams, and marketing leaders
- Manage our marketing website and SEO strategy to optimize leads and pipeline development
- Develop and execute demand generation programs to help drive top of the funnel opportunities and build awareness for our brand
- Design and implement an account-based marketing strategy for key enterprise accounts in each of our target verticals
- Create the content strategy and coordinate the development of all content to position Koan as a thought leader
- Manage and/or establish external PR agency relationships and all other marketing partnerships.
- Define and manage a marketing budget that meets company goals for growth, while monitoring spend for optimal ROI

What We Look For

- 5+ years of hands-on marketing experience with high-growth SaaS companies
- Proven experience driving high velocity, freemium to enterprise GTM motions
- Incredible drive and ambition to help Koan become the preeminent vendor in our category
- A strong understanding and set of tools and tactics to address programs with an account-based lens
- Proven experience in demand generation or digital marketing roles where revenue growth was successful
- Detail and results-oriented; skilled at both strategy and hands‐on execution; data driven and intuitive and empathetic to the needs of our customers
- Strong analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to managing priorities and marketing focus
- Strong people management, mentoring, coaching and development experience
