An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced software developer to join Keratify, creating new technology to advance human skin testing. Keratify is a newly founded multi-award winning company at the leading edge of bioengineering dedicated to improving test processes for cosmetics and dermatology pharmaceuticals. With over 50% of the world’s population suffering from some form of skin condition, we strive to provide useable solutions for accelerating skin care R&D.

We are looking for a talented individual keen to take a leading role in shaping the backend, frontend/Cloud software development of our platform device. Capable of creating innovative algorithms to manage data and operations as well as elegant Cloud based systems for simple user interface. Your work will uniquely and directly shape Keratify’s technology to make a global impact on dermatology preclinical test practices. Develop software for our platform technology (in vitro human skin testing) to advance reliability, functionality and usability.

Ability to lead software development for a new technology, creating new algorithms for system management and operation.

Collaborate with hardware engineers, product developers and biologists to support your team members in delivering practical solutions of our platform technology.

Use test automation and agile practices to effectively advance system development.

Deliver sustainable code for minimum viable product development and system usability in a fast-paced startup environment.


Graduate in computer science or relevant domain with a minimum of 3 years of software development experience.

Excellent knowledge and successful back-end development, at production scale (for example in Python, JAVA, or C++).

Commercial experience of MySQL, web development and building user-faced portals.

Experience with GitHub.

Ability to work in a team to create breakthrough, innovative products.

Experience of and/or active interest in developing software for medical/laboratory devices.

Interest in advancing scientific processes and working creatively to achieve new system methodology.

Highly detail oriented with strong analytical skills and careful documentation.

Excellent communicator with ability to work as a team and think independently.

Ability to work across disciplines, with teams from biological and physics backgrounds.

A keen problem solver with a desire to push boundaries.

Excellent organisational, time and project management skills.

Ability to persevere and have entrepreneurial drive to learn in a dynamic environment .
