Location: We are a fully remote team but ask that you be within 1-2 timezones from Central Standard Time where the majority of our team is located.
Engagement: We are looking for a product owner to join our company’s team as a contractor with the possibility to stay on for additional projects.
Start date: Looking to fill role as soon as possible.
Opportunity: We are looking for an experienced and innovative product owner to lead our development team through the lifecycle of exciting software applications. The product owner is commonly a lead user of the system or someone from marketing, product management or anyone with a solid understanding of users, the market place, the competition and of future trends for the domain or type of system being developed. As a project’s key stakeholder, the product owner will be responsible for conveying their vision of a product to the scrum team, clients, and other stakeholders and leading them through the subsequent research, feature design, usability testing, and release of the product. Must be strong communicators and creative problem solvers with an insatiable curiosity to learn about any given product and its associated marketplace. Technical background strongly preferred, but not required. Must be familiar and comfortable with JIRA.
Compensation: Negotiable based on experience
*Work with clients and stakeholders to gather detail requirements
*Product backlog prioritization, creation, and management
*Lead sprint planning and review meetings
*Clearly and concisely communicating requirements to the scrum team(s)
*Build and maintain strong stakeholder and client relationships
*Organizing, managing, and delegating to project teams
*Technical planning & forecasting
*Ensuring the quality of technical architecture
*Uncovering & resolving hidden challenges in engineering teams
*Standardizing & documenting processes
*4+ years experience in:
*Software development and/or engineering
*Agile (Scrum), Waterfall and Iterative methodologies
*Technical product planning & forecasting
*Managing teams on six-figure projects
*Thorough knowledge of:
*Execution of small & large project development
*Organizing and assembling QA processes or teams
*Working with appropriate developers & contractors for projects
*Client facing consulting/agency experience
*Excellent written & oral communication skills
*Insatiable curiosity, thoroughness, and confidence in presenting findings to other stakeholders
