Do you thrive on working with the cutting edge technology? Working with innovators in the early stages of ideas, products, and platforms? Do you want to transform an industry? Crave new challenges, hard problems using the latest in battery technology?

At ION Energy we are building the world’s most advanced battery management and intelligence platform. ION was founded by a team of PhD's with decades of experience in advanced electronics and battery systems. Our groundbreaking and patented BMS technology acts as the core of high-performance applications like Electric Vehicles, Telecom Towers, DataCentres & More.

As a member of the electronics team, you will be responsible for hands-on design and development, architecting, lab testing, and troubleshooting power-electronics circuits and systems. You will join a team dedicated to raising the standards for battery management systems and contribute to their continuous improvement. You will help build robust electronics impervious to the hostility of various applicative environnements. At ION you will have the opportunity to make lithium-ion batteries safer, more efficient, and basically help the world tackle one of its biggest challenge : Energy storage.
What you will do:

- Design and development of digital and analog electronics for control of high power electronics systems.
- Start to finish ownership of control boards and other electronics – from specification to design, prototype, and manufacturing.
- Collaborative work with mechanical, digital control, thermal design, and manufacturing test engineers.
- Product level electrical design including component selection, branch circuit design and insulation coordination.

This is you:

- BS, MS or PhD in EE/CE/CS (IIT/BITS/International preferred) or the equivalent in experience with evidence of exceptional ability
- 4 or more years of demonstrated successful experience in electrical engineering within a product design and manufacturing environment (high power Li-Ion batteries is a plus)
- Embedded programming of DSPs and FPGAs in real-time control applications is highly valuable.
- Experience in supervision of PCB layout for minimal stray inductance and capacitance, placement strategies for better manufacturability, power/signal plane definition and EMC optimization.
- Experience with Altium Designer for Schematic & PCB layout design
- Start to finish ownership of control boards and other electronics – from specification to design, prototype, and manufacturing.
- Experience with high current power semiconductor selection (IGBTs, MOSFET’s, and Diodes), gate drive and protection circuit design.
- Familiar with schematic capture and power converter circuit simulation tools.
- Experience in selection and use of DSPs, microcontrollers, and programmable logic devices and their peripheral circuitry (signal conditioning, board-level power supplies).
- Experience in development of digital and analog interfaces for PC-based test systems, especially (Labview, Matlab, Python).
- Knowledge in environmental, reliability, and safety requirements for Automotive, Industrial & Residential applications.
- Collaborate with BMS HW/FW engineering team to successfully to design, validate and deploy testing tools
- Product level electrical design including component selection, branch circuit design and insulation coordination.
- Fluent in english, ability to communicate with foreign teammates.

Our culture is founded on ensuring openness, extreme ownership, full responsibility and unfiltered honesty. We value excellence and look for strengths, resilience, curiosity and above all, moral fibre. Come join a high performance team dedicated to accelerate the Earth’s transition to an all-electric future.
