We work with key organisations such as the UN, Institutes and accelerators/incubators in the US and EU.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
A journalist that loves everything tech and innovation! Yes, Green finance (ESG) is a big player in our world, so you will be covering also all their moves.

ROLE
Impakter is looking for an ambitious, fearless and energetic journalist to cover Silicon Valley start-ups, NYC, EU and venture capital scene.

You will be digging into garage style startup all the way to fully funded companies. We will want you to look for the most innovative companies only, those that answer the question: Is it going to change the world?

You should be able to work your way through the hype and concretely indicate the real value of the startup. Understanding it's pros and cons and report on it's an adventure. Never be shy of tackling an interview with the founder (only with him) regardless if he runs a pony or a unicorn.

HOW TO APPLY
Applications should include a resume, and a memo outlining the biggest themes on the start-up beat, how those themes should be covered and what types of stories should not be covered.

EVENTS
Can you attend a tech event? Covid permitted yes and you must! We will ask you to apply for a press pass to all of them.

LOCATION
Anywhaere around the world.
If you must, The best locations are: NYC, SF, Boston, London, Berlin, Milan, Amsterdam, Paris and Rome

ADDED SKILLS:
You will also have the opportunity to learn how to create engaging media posts which promote your pieces on Twitter and Instagram - strengthening and demonstrating to future employers your attention to detail, ability to follow style guidelines and your creativity.

DAY 2 DAY
Work with the media team’s editors with focus on:

• News desk: you will pitch the latest news and be able to write them on the spot Content management - Reading and responding to articles as they come in, with thoughts about structure, argument, and ideas.
  
• Editorial work such as interviewing global leaders, articles.
• Experience with WordPress is welcome but not required -Experience with social media tools Buffer and Canva are welcomed but not required -Creating engaging social media content

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN
How a media outlet work around the news cycle and speed of execution.

You will learn how to use all the tools and instruments that the tech and social media world require from you: communication, execution, PR, and marketing.

WHAT YOU WILL FINISH WITH
Upon successful completion of the internship, you will be provided a letter of recommendation.
