The successful candidate will have a passion for solving interesting problems no matter where on the stack, from debugging high throughput multi-threaded applications to wrangling heaps of structured data to creating responsive, adaptive user interfaces. You will join a talented team working on scalable systems, with a bent toward open source tech and Amazon Web Services. It's a fun and fast paced environment with an exposure to working across Amazon businesses on a global scale. You will collaborate with engineers, quality assurance, product & program management, and designers to make swift but data driven decisions that result in high quality products.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
· Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
· 1+ years of experience writing production code of increasing complexity

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, complexity analysis, data structures, problem solving, and object-oriented analysis and design
· Experience with Java or other object oriented languages
· Working knowledge of databases, service-oriented architectures, and highly-scaled distributed systems
· Excellent written and verbal communication
· Experience with Amazon Web Services
· Excellent analytical skills
· Experience implementing and consuming large scale web services
· Master's degree in computer science or related technical discipline
