The Role

The vice president, sales position is responsible for establishing the sales targets to meet the company objectives. Responsible for developing strategic sales plans based on company goals that will promote sales growth and customer satisfaction for the organisation.

Responsibilities:
1. Develops quarterly sales plan in support of organisation strategy and objectives.
2. Directs implementation and execution of sales policies and practices.
3. Ensures communications are coordinated, supports sales plan objectives and meets organisational expenditure requirements in conjunction with leadership team.
4. Recommends sales strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analyses.
5. Implements approved distribution strategies.
6. Manages multiple channel selling strategies.
7. Builds, develops and manages sales team capable of carrying out needed sales and service initiatives.
8. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Competencies:
1. Successful experience building a go-to-market strategy and start-up sales plan
2. Successful experience building and growing a channel
3. Successful experience selling tech product/service to consumers/business.
4. Successful experience closing deals
5. Successful experience monitoring and evaluating sales progress against stated expectations, in addition to aligning and changing behaviour with performance expectations
6. Successful experience managing a team of A+ salespeople
7. Experience managing key customer relationships and closing strategic opportunities
8. Successful experience in manage team sales tasks, pipeline, and closing data
9. Successful experience hiring and on-boarding sales representatives
10. Successful experience building and managing a territory (include geography if necessary)
11. Proven experience working within both small and large company environment
12. Experience providing status reports with market and customer feedback to the corporate leadership team
13. Demonstrated ability in all aspects of sales leadership
14. MBA from top universities around the world will be plus.
