At Hopscotch, you'll work with a small team on a programming language that is beloved by hundreds of thousands of kids. You'll have the chance to make a significant impact on these children's lives by owning all aspects of the product from the highest level strategy to the smallest details.

Who you are:
- You always want to understand the industry, the business model and the customers of any organization you're a part of. To you, understanding the big picture is essential to doing good work.
- You are always trying to improve and love to give and get feedback of all sorts. You have a thick skin and don't mind taking unfiltered feedback from children.
- You love kids, find them hilarious, and are always seeking to understand them better.
- You have a system for everything and you are organized and process-oriented.
- You enjoy writing and will spend the time editing needed to perfect your prose.
- You care about the details and notice when they are off.
- You like to back up your intuitions with data, whether it's from analytics or from talking to users directly.
- You care about good design and have a framework for judging when it's right or not.
- You find coding fascinating and have tried it before. You're excited to improve the discipline of coding and make it better for the next generation.

What you'll do:
Product Strategy:
- Work with the CEO to turn the company strategy into a product roadmap.
- Measure results and tell a story about each feature using quantitative analytics and qualitative user interviews.

User Research:
- Design interviews and surveys to ensure that we fully understand our users' needs.
- Talk to kids on the Hopscotch forum to get their ideas and bug reports.
- Test new features and flows with users to ensure they work as intended.

Design:
- Create flows and prototypes to define new features and communicate them to the engineers.
- Ensure that the app looks polished and professional.
- Write UI copy that informs and delights while reflecting the Hopscotch brand.

Product Management:
- Prioritize features and bugs in Pivotal Tracker so we can ship product updates on a regular basis.
- Do acceptance testing to ensure that features work as expected.
- Write informative and fun release notes.
