About the Role
We are hiring an ambitious Business Development Representative to join our team! As a BDR at Hoppin, you are the first point of contact for prospects. You will be responsible for both selling the value of Hoppin as well as ensuring leads are qualified before looping in our Head of Business Development.

Your specific duties include:

* Conduct initial phone and email outreach to prospect B2B contacts.
* Quickly establish a rapport to identify the needs and challenges of the prospective customer and present a compelling, credible business case for Hoppin.
* Consistently achieve target numbers of activities (outbound calls and meetings/demos scheduled with qualified leads) per day/week/month.
* Use prospecting strategies to identify target accounts.
* Leverage our CRM to track and prioritize sales activities and organize/maintain sales funnel.
* Represent Hoppin at industry events; listening to prospective customer needs and educating them on our product offering.
* Organize and prioritize outreach, demos, and follow-up to qualified prospects.
* Work with industry partners to identify opportunities for "win-win" partnerships that lead to inbound demand.
* Assist with customer onboarding and general account management when needed.


* Self-motivated and entrepreneurial-minded is a must. We’re a lean team and expect everyone to be proactive problem solvers.
* 2+ years of BDR/SDR experience.
* Experience in B2B software sales is a plus.
* Exceptional listening skills; clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
* Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented.
* Ability to listen, earn trust, persuade, consult, and confidently communicate with customers.
* Handles rejection with resilience.
* Flexibility working outside of normal hours in order to book appointments and achieve goals.
* Experience with HubSpot or other CRM.
* A multi-tasker with the ability to wear many hats in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
* Ability to work as part of a sales team, supporting the sales executives to reach our business goals.
* Self-starter personality and comfort with ambiguity; ideal candidates will have experience working in rapidly-changing environments and adapting and contributing to an evolving sales processes.
* Demonstrated ability to consistently set and beat stretch sales targets.
* Coachable and excited about learning.
