Operations Research Engineer

We are seeking solid researchers and engineers to join our team to deliver products that lie at the intersection of Robotics, AI and Vision. The members of our Robotics/AI group will track the latest research in the problem space, and incorporate promising approaches into our product line. Since the products have exacting performance requirements, we are obsessed with tracking and improving quality at all levels - architecture, implementation and workflow.

Responsibilities

In the research side of things, members of this group will work on a variety of challenges including:

Extract RoboFS flows from designs and case studies, and by talking to GetUsRoi and RoboFS HW team
Creates mathematical static and dynamic(discrete event) models of the flow
Simulates using the simplest representations possible - schematic in matlab ok.
Identify bottlenecks and boundary conditions
Present ramifications to business model
Suggest improvements and get buy-in.
Apply improvements and repeat from step 2.
What the candidate can potentially do

Explore Advanced optimization algorithms(AI) to optimize flows
Architect a flow optimization strategy and framework for all of RoboFS
What we’re looking for

BS/MS/PhD in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Math, or related fields
5+ years working on optimization strategies in process optimization, factory layout optimization and similar areas.
Solid ability at building static and dynamic(stochastic) models of various processes, and running discrete event simulations.
Good experience using optimization tools like Matlab, optimization packages like Gurobi, or Machine Learning frameworks like Tensorflow.
