Sawyer, the out of school enrichment solution for modern parents, is searching for a Visual Designer to play an integral part of how we grow and evolve the Sawyer brand and communicate to parents and children’s activity providers. You’ll join an innovative, mission-driven organization and be involved with designing and executing our brand vision across various marketing communications (social media, email marketing, paid advertising, landing pages, print collateral, company presentations). The role is best suited for a visual thinker and go-getter who can quickly grasp core messages and bring them to life in creative ways. This position reports directly to the Art Director.

Core Responsibilities:
-Concept and design social media assets, marketing emails, landing pages, video treatments and print collateral
-Create high-end design solutions across web and mobile products
-Collaborate with Creative and Marketing teams to implement the brand’s strategic vision and style guide across all Sawyer communications
-Photo/image sourcing, editing and processing
-Using and building brand and campaign templates to produce creative across multiple channels
-Working with the Marketing team to methodically test and optimize advertising creative
-Assist in building landing pages with Webflow
-Articulate your ideas and communicate your design decisions to the team
-Juggle several different projects with good intuition about when to create pixel-perfect designs vs. when to take a low-fi approach
-Understand the ways in which our products uniquely address the needs of various audiences (B2B and B2C) to create compelling content and brand engagement
-Identify opportunities to improve our product marketing through analytics
-Work with Art Director and Marketing team on lifecycle/segmented communication strategies and adding projects to the marketing calendar
-Assist and build upon Sawyer style guide, helping to create and organize the visual elements of our brand
-Effectively leverage our ESP to optimize our email campaigns and ensure best in class practices while delivering high quality design.
-Work with Sales and Accounts teams on ongoing product education and new feature launches

About you:
-2+years visual design experience in brand or product marketing
-Passionate about creating unique content and compelling marketing messages
-Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote and Sketch
-Light illustration and animation skills welcome
-Photography/lighting experience welcome
-A portfolio demonstrating your conceptual design thinking and execution across various touch points including web and mobile
-Exceptional attention to detail including typography, color usage and layout
-Knowledge or willingness to learn email best practices to increase deliverability, engagement and conversion
-Experience in digital advertising across a variety of channels is welcome
-Dependable team player with a can do attitude, strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity and passionate spirit
-Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fluid environment
-Willingness to share your process and work-in-progress with the team – and to accept feedback and incorporate insights into your designs
-Highly organized; able to multi-task and work efficiently with focus
-Belief in the Sawyer vision
-Thoughtful, honest and kind with a healthy sense of humor
-Bachelor’s degree in a design related discipline, such as graphic design, visual communication, or interaction design
