Sawyer, the technology platform connecting children with outside the classroom educational & enrichment activities, is searching for a Sales Director to lead the sales team. You’ll join an innovative, mission-driven organization and play a crucial role in driving revenue for the organization. This position reports directly to the SVP of Revenue.


Core Responsibilities

• Accurately forecast monthly, quarterly and annual total partner and revenue numbers
• Work with SVP of Revenue to set appropriate team goals and ensure KPIs are met and exceeded
• Hire, onboard and retain outstanding sales talent
• Train and coach new hires on standard sales processes to ensure successful behaviors are consistently executed
• Conduct weekly 1x1s, coaching sessions and call reviews to help reps develop and improve overall sales skills
• Build contests and incentives to drive the correct behaviors to achieve KPI goals
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Engineering, Design, Accounts, City Launches and Data to communicate customer needs and provide insights from the front-lines
• Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies and competitors; develop proactive strategies to maintain a competitive edge and ensure all reps are effectively trained on handling competitor objections
• Enforce Salesforce best practices and utilize reporting to gain visibility into sales team performance and understand trends
• Evaluate the existing sales stack and scope and implement new enablement tools as necessary
• Own and continue to develop the Sales Playbook, incorporating product updates and ensure standardized communication across the sales team
• Proactively identify and problem-solve for areas of development in the sales funnel on a rep level
• Provide timely and accurate executive-level reports of performance and forecasts



About You

• 5+ years experience building and leading inside sales teams at a growth-stage organization
• Proven ability to sell successfully in the SMB space; SaaS experience is preferred
• Demonstrated success as a leader and executing against aggressive business goals
• Passion for coaching and mentoring people at various levels in their sales careers
• Creative mindset and a desire to help build a business from the ground up.
