Sawyer, the out of school enrichment solution for modern parents, is searching for aSales Development Representative to help bring on new businesses to the platform.You’ll join an innovative, mission-driven organization and be in charge of prospecting new business, qualifying the right opportunities and working closely with AEs to support the top of the sales funnel. This position reports directly to the Sales Manager.

The Role:
This role is about mastering sales fundamentals, qualifying the right opportunities and pioneering the SDR program at Sawyer. We are passionate about training and coaching you to success, while also giving you the reins to be creative and empowered in the sales process. We are excited to empower you as you start your sales career so you can evolve into a sales leader. Our sales organization is run by sales veteran Megan Riley, a leader from the early days at SinglePlatform, Megan is an exceptional motivator and coach and will help you to transform your sales career at Sawyer.

Core Responsibilities:
-Identify and create well-qualified SMB leads daily
Arranging discovery calls and well-qualified product demonstrations for Account Executives
-Prospecting new business through out-bound calling and email/social outreach
-Consistently achieve outbound prospecting goals on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
-Work closely with Account Executives to onboard the best potential partners and support the top of the sales funnel
-Identify advantages and key differentiators as compared to competitors within various markets
-Maintain detailed tracking of sales activity within Salesforce
-Achieving, and exceeding, weekly/monthly metrics

About you:
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-You are easily able to adapt to a fast moving company where the product is still evolving
-You believe in the power of a positive mental attitude and are enthusiastic about new challenges
-You are passionate about early childhood education and helping SMB educators streamline and grow their business
-You like to win but hate to lose
-You understand and are prepared for early-stage work/culture and possess the flexibility to adapt to changing processes, responsibilities and expectations
-You are driven, ambitious, and passionate, and you want to be part of a growing and successful team
-You can collaborate and excel at finding ways to motivate yourself and other team members
-Previous SDR experience a plus
-Bachelor’s degree
