CTO / Co-founder / Lead Engineer

Open to remote-US/CA/EU preferred; Boston-based preferred; Equity 5-15% depending on fit/experience/recommendations. Not required to be 'full-time' until we raise $ or revenue is high enough.

As the founder, I'm looking for a complementary co-founder or lead engineer to take the MVP product to the next level!

Me:

• Cofounder w/a small exit from a bootstrapped software co.
• Have had a role and currently mentor(ing) w/Techstars accelerator.
• Passion for Real Estate since I was a kid.
• Experience in data/analytics/MDM solutions co. and product management while knowing a thing or two about AI/ML. Translation: I can speak your language.
• Note: my full-time job pays for current CTO-for-hire + 3 team members.

You're a great fit if:

• Previously a founder/cofounder or want to be one
• Experience in a startup or early stage company so you know what it's like to not only 'wear' more than one hat when needed but also 'think' with more than one hat.
• Passion for or interest in the Real Estate industry
• Have created your own application (with sales is a +)
• Created something with AI/ML

• Can explain the difference between a Manager and a Leader

• Confident about technical decisions to proceed, but seeks input where or when needed
• Ability to: listen, ask specific questions, reflect and reframe as needed to grow conversations
• Can see the big picture and doesn't sweat the small things

The technical specs: (Flexible for FS, or only Frontend or only Backend

• Backend: 3+ years of Ruby on Rails development experience (preferred)
• Frontend: 3+ years React (I'm open to others, but React feels like a good fit for the UX)
• A BS or MS degree in Computer Science
• Experience developing web-based consumer-facing applications using open-source software components
• Demonstrated expertise building and scaling production level software applications with millions of users
• Ability to work on the full web stack: from UI design / front-end development to server side development
• Hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails, HTML/CSS/JS
• Experience with PostgreSQL databases
• Experience in an Agile software development environment in a web context
• A thorough understanding of how business needs drive product features
• Demonstrated expertise with the entire software development life cycle
