**Who We’re Looking For**

Besides a 8 years of track record in technical positions, an Engineering Manager (EM) should have the ability to manage people, document requirements and have a sense of urgency to deliver high quality products. An Engineering Manager is responsible for leading teams into executing successful technology projects that ship working products. Success being defined as the best technological solutions within time, money and scope constraints.

EM are expected to manage one or two teams of engineers and coordinate communication with other teams such as operations, data, product, etc. EMs act as technical product owners and are the ultimate gatekeepers of which features and products go live. Finally EMs are responsible for assessing his team members performance and report to directors and VPs.


**Requirements**

- 8+ years of experience in technology focused projects.
- 4 years of experience in software development positions.
- 4 years of experience communicating in English both verbally and written.
- 3 years of experience in leadership roles.
- 3 years of experience in web related technologies.
- 2 years of experience documenting or defining software requirements.
- 2 years of experience working with sound project management frameworks such as Prince, Scrum, Kanban, PMI, etc.
- 2 years of experience managing the release of production level products.
- 2 years of experience as a power user of analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Google Analytics.
- 2 years of experience leading engineers, data analysts, designers, etc.
- 1 year of experience in Online Marketing industry.


**We expect you to...**

- To launch successful technology products.
- To serve as a technical advisor in early stages of product development.
- To hire, manage and assess the performance of engineers.
- To document high level requirements for assigned projects.
- To clarify any ambiguity that might emerge during the execution of any assigned project.
- To support the development and implementation of technology products key metrics.
- To enforce quality assurance processes during all stages of a product life cycle.
- To manage resource allocation to product development based on agreed upon priorities.
- To communicate the status of assigned project to stakeholders.
- To coordinate any joint effort with other functional teams within the organization.
- To represent HealthCare.com’s technology team at business meetings.
