Harness biotechnologies is looking for a Senior Sales / business development Executive to cover the south eastern U.S. territory. Our ideal candidate will be a proven senior sales professional with a demonstrated track record in the biotech / pharma and, or equine (animal sciences) industry. You will be entrepreneurial, responsible self-starter in nature who is looking for an opportunity to leverage your deep equine industry experience into a senior level role.


Harness Biotechnologies seeks to add a highly driven, fully engaged senior member to our sales and business development team.

This position will be responsible for playing a key role in developing and executing our business strategy and expanding our growth opportunities including national sales working with management to build out and scale sales, alliances, partnerships, and other sales related collaborations.

Key candidate will display consistent - accountability, quick and accurate decision making and execution, collaborative personality, transparent, sense of urgency, and results focused humble core values. You will be working with two other well respected industry managers in the area.


Increase awareness and educate the equine community within the assigned territory; developing business plans and executing strategies aligned with the business objectives and customer needs
Disseminate technical information to veterinarians or related animal health personnel
Develop territory business planning template
Develop and implement a sales call process to productively manage accounts within a specific territory
Work to achieve all territory business objectives including sales goals and growth
Maintain a current level of knowledge on assigned product
Communicate and collaborate with all cross functional team members to ensure optimal alignment on business opportunities and priorities
Establish relationships and leverage consultative selling skills, technology and visual aids in order to influence and achieve goals
Apply comprehensive understanding of clinical/therapeutic practices to the marketplace


Working knowledge of sales, marketing, anatomy, physiology, biology, pharmacology, chemistry, and public speaking
Passionate about the equine space
Comfortable around HNW individuals
3+ years direct selling experience in the equine industry or involved in the equine business
Reside within close proximity to current territory
Ability to travel to equine events across the country
Result oriented and customer focused
Highly energetic and self-motivated
Ability to lead without authority and a bias for action
Ability to collaborate effectively with various groups and commitment to teamwork
Analytical and strategic thinking skills
Excellent territory management skills
Excellent interpersonal ,organization and presentation skills
Excellent oral and written communication
Exceptional proven track record of performance
Ability to communicate / present a scientific product effectively
Deep rolodex within the equine industry and a respected citizen of the equine community

Preferred (not required) Professional Experience and Education/Qualifications 

Strong independent business and financial acumen.
Degree in Pharmacology, Biomedical or similar degree
Strong leadership qualities including strategic thinking, innovation, mentoring, scaling, collaboration, deliverability.
Entrepreneurial in nature, creative outside of the box thinking.
Ability to secure meetings, develop relationships and spend 60% time in the field in an effective customer interfacing role.
Strategic thinker who is able to connect the dots, cultivate deep partnerships, plan for the future, and deliver on commitments and sales goals.
Launch experience.
Five plus years in sales positions in veterinary or equine industry related to clinical research, new product launches (Stage 4) in pharmaceutical and/or medical with demonstrated knowledge of business leadership success. 

Demonstrated expertise with building a new product from early stages to market success.
Online sales and marketing experience.
Demonstrated communication skills necessary to lead an organization with a strong public presence. 

Exceptional written and oral communication skills – inspiring, professional and credible.


Salary, plus equity (potential) and bonus structure / commissions commensurate with experience.
