Happs is crowdsourcing live news from around the world. Happs has built a proprietary technology platform that revolutionizes the process of capturing, curating, and producing live breaking news and current events. Happs has assembled a rapidly growing global community of journalists, students, advocates and others who collaborate to curate and cover breaking news and current events.
Happs is co-founded by a team of news and startup innovators. Mark Goldman was the founding COO at Current TV (acquired for $500M) and President & COO of Sky Latin America. David Neuman was the Chief Programming Officer at CNN and the President of Programming at both Channel One and Current TV. He is responsible for launching the careers of many news superstars including Anderson Cooper, Lisa Ling, and Jason Silva, among others. Drew Shepard was previously the co-founder and CEO of Revree, a founding executive at Reserve.com (acquired in 2018), and an Engineer at General Dynamics & NASA.
In this role you will be responsible for helping with Happs’ email marketing and social strategy by working with the company and its contributors to highlight the community participation and increase platform engagement. Success metrics will include community growth, referrals, and engagement, amongst others. You will be a liaison to the product and content team. You should have creative writing experience, natural curiosity, an interest in digital media and technology, and a desire to be at the forefront of innovation and disruption of the media and news industry.
Help manage the companies email campaigns and communicating the company brand through email marketing.
- Help manage trigger email campaigns throughout the customer lifecycle to maximise engagement.
- Help carry out segmentation of the database and implementing remarketing strategies.
- Ensuring all email campaigns comply with current email best practice in the industry.
- Help with managing social media accounts
- Excellent written communication and copywriting skills.
- Analytical and be able to translate data into actionable plans.
