This is a unique opportunity to work on Handy’s highest growth revenue stream by launching new services. Handy is seeking a highly analytical and process driven leader to develop and manage the operations (including Pro acquisition, communications and retention) for new services. Handy is the established leading platform in fulfilling cleaning and handyman fixed price services for customers across the US, and now has the opportunity to expand the set of services it offers - by example, recurring outdoor services like snow removal, pool maintenance and lawn care. 

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying the best ways to acquire and communicate with Pros for the new service, as well as manage the key metrics around marketplace supply/demand balance and customer satisfaction; these must be balanced with the variable cost targets for supporting both. Success will require developing, testing and then formalizing new processes in each major area by working closely with the existing Expansion team, building your own team, and by working closely with the assigned Product and Engineering teams to automate as much as possible. And all the projects you will be working on have a direct impact on Handy’s growth.


**What you'll do**

The scope of this mandate is broad, and requires exceptional capacity to prioritize and focus:

- Own operations KPIs and costs for a new service or group of linked services
- Source, onboard and retain Independent Contractors specialized by service (aka Handy Pros)
- Improve overall platform experience for both Customers and Handy Pros
- Drive changes in process, policy, and product to ensure high satisfaction for all users
- Test hypothesis quickly! Conduct data analysis, market research, and user research to identify opportunities
- Work closely with Expansion team to understand requirements
- Work with Product and Engineering teams to automate processes and add features


**What we're looking for**

- 4+ years of professional experience with evidence of increasing responsibility including creating processes for complex operations
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a focus in an analytical field
- Prior small company or start-up experience required. Experience with marketplaces or past consulting experience is a plus
- Exceptional quantitative skills and aptitude. Proficiency with Excel and familiarity with databases and SQL
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail. Will require the ability to create documents and present training information to operations associates, and strategic plans to Expansion team
- Ability to dig deep into processes and identify areas for improvement
- Creative problem-solver with excitement to work on cross-functional teams and projects
- A passion for marketplaces, the sharing economy, and/or the on-demand services space
