Content Marketing Manager

One of HGM's portfolio companies, Exela Technologies, is seeking an experienced copywriter with enterprise or technology marketing experience to help articulate our vision to the world. Our product and service offerings are highly technical and touch many aspects of our customers’ businesses, including transaction processing, document management, customer relationship management, data analytics, accounting, and commerce. This role will focus on the development of marketing assets for customer sales and industry communications, which includes sales collateral and public-facing content on our website. We are seeking a skilled communicator who is able to break down complex concepts and technologies into easy to digest copy. There is a significant opportunity for the right person to take ownership of our brand voice, to unify and optimize sales and marketing collateral across the organization, and work collaboratively with our design team to bring brand and product stories to life. This is a versatile role with significant responsibilities to manage both product and marketing copywriting challenges.

This is a versatile role with significant responsibilities to manage both product and marketing copywriting challenges. The position is based out of our Santa Monica, CA office.

Responsibilities:
• Translate complex technology concepts (machine learning, big data, etc.) and market vision into clear and compelling ideas and stories
• Drive the copy of thought leadership content and assets including whitepapers, strategic presentations, blogs, and other materials
• Deliver on multiple projects, while ensuring that quality is never compromised
• Work closely with product, sales, and business development teams to execute communications and collateral that reflects Exela’s brand and value to our customers
• Capacity to write, edit, proofread, and fact-check copy for brand consistency, clarity, and accuracy
• Communicate effectively with Fortune 500 C-Suite stakeholders
• Meet division needs and understand their objectives
• Write persuasive marketing copy and collaborate with digital and design to optimize content delivery

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing or related field
• 3 - 5 years B2B writing experience within an advertising agency or in-house for an enterprise technology company
• Familiarity with marketing to executive and director level audiences across finance, banking, healthcare, insurance or consumer retail industries
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with storyboarding and narrative storytelling
• Ability to work seamlessly with technical teams and perform well under pressure
• Quality-consciousness and exceptional attention to detail
• High sense of urgency while demonstrating resourcefulness, productivity, and efficiency
• Flexibility and an ability to change course based on new feedback and guidance
• A strategic approach to transforming technical and complex information into relevant and persuasive copy and concepts

Nice To Have:
• Skills and experience around presentation design, including the ability to leverage platforms like InDesign, Prezi, and PowerPoint to build visually engaging and highly polished presentations.
