Location: Nashville, Tennessee 37011
Job Type: Permanent /Full Time

Job Description:
Our Client is seeking a passionate and talented Product Designer to shape industry-leading user experiences across our suite of technology products while helping to develop the culture of this small but growing team. The Product Designer will be a champion of user-centric design, helping to craft a delightful, functional, and efficient user experience that takes the company to the next level. In this role, you will represent the voice of the user and leverage data to design product experiences while collaborating with product managers and technical teams. You will be familiar with micro-interactions in use (on mobile, web, desktop, etc), and have nuanced views on how to make them even better. As part of a design team, you'll be involved in all aspects of a product development, from user research and prototyping to product definition and presenting to company leaders. We appreciate designers who think deeply, have a good sense of humor, and love collaboration.

What you will be doing
• Champion user-centered design internally and externally
• Be the voice of the user in the product process
• Create wireframes and prototypes across platforms (e.g., web, mobile, and desktop)
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, data analysts, marketers and engineers
• Drive UI/UX consistency across the team and products
• Guide designs that consider business goals and the impact across all products
• Effectively communicate designs, and solicit/integrate feedback collaboratively
• Receive, evaluate, and integrate feedback from key stakeholders
• Work closely with user researchers and contribute to research strategies
• Present designs in a clear, confident, and logical manner
• Partner with engineering to ensure that implementation of user experience is high-quality
• Help guide, improve, and implement design and feedback processes
• Absorb and evangelize UI/UX best practices and techniques based on industry trends
• Regularly share design iterations and project updates with company leadership
• Mentor other designers, and help lead critique, design reviews, quarterly planning, and sprint planning

What you should have
• 3-5 years of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design for multiple products:
• Shipping product: you’ve weathered release cycles and know what details matter at each stage, how to motivate engineers to get the fit and
finish right, how to translate insights from user studies into meaningful action, and what's most likely to go afoul at each stage.
• User-centered design (e.g., user research, testing, data analysis, journey mapping, etc.)
• Cross-platform design (e.g., web, mobile, etc.) and knowledge of why different styles work on different platforms
• Demonstrated proficiency in creating low- to high-fidelity wireframes, prototypes, and technical documentation using industry tools (e.g.,
Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud, InVision, Axure, Microsoft Office)
• An outstanding portfolio showcasing a foundation in typography, interaction and visual design, and idea generation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Passion for our users, the design discipline, and collaboration
• Ability to work quickly, independently and effectively on multiple products in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor's degree in visual design, interaction design, human factors, human-computer interaction, or equivalent professional experience
• Working knowledge of web technologies and frameworks (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React); experience with front-end coding a plus.
