The Role

GoFormz is a San Diego startup looking for great developers to add to a rapidly-growing engineering team. Our goal is to help individuals and businesses replace paper forms with web and mobile-based digital forms, and then to provide ubiquitous access to the collected data.

What will I be working on?

We work on a wide variety of projects and technologies, and you will have a lot of freedom to choose what you will work on. We do everything from JavaScript/HTML5 web apps to mobile app development to solving complex database/platform architecture problems. One thing is certain; you will be a core contributor working on production code. The work you do will become part of the day-to-day life of thousands of our customers.

What is it like to work at GoFormz?

We have a fantastic team that gets stuff done and is fun to work with!
Our office is in San Diego, CA right next to the bay.
Everyone has the best hardware for doing their particular job. You tell us what that is. We have some pretty sweet monitor setups.
The environment is fast-paced, so you will see the results of your work immediately
We actually care about your physical health. Everyone in the office has automatic sit/stand desks, and we provide membership to an executive health club/gym as well as providing healthy food snacks.
You will receive equity. We also pay well - at or above market.
Full gold-level health and dental insurance is provided
You will have plenty of opportunities to use and learn cutting-edge technologies with which you are currently unfamiliar.
What you will do…

You will work incredibly close with our engineering and product teams to help design, implement, and scale our predominantly C# and SQL Server based architecture. We are obsessively focused on maintaining high availability for all of the services we manage, while also implementing the infrastructure solutions that our product teams need in order to succeed.

You will have opportunities to combine your technical ability, strategic thinking and detail-oriented execution in a fast-paced, dynamic, entrepreneurial environment. Your work will contribute to the design and management of serious infrastructure that will be servicing large amounts of data and traffic, work with an outstanding engineering team, and employ state-of-the-art tools and techniques.
Your main responsibilities will include:

Create and maintain continuous integration and delivery pipelines that produce rapid, low-risk releases and improved velocity.
Create, maintain, and track tools that monitor and profile our services and processes.
Closely coordinate with product development teams to implement, maintain and configure reusable assets.
Establish a working DevOps model that supports our agile development methodology and teams.
Manage service delivery efforts consuming IaaS, PaaS, and application operations and engineering automation.
Develop internal tools and scripts to support product engineers.
Manage all steps of the product release process.
Coordinate with support staff and product engineers to address and promptly resolve production outages.
Deploy software configuration management.
Optimize resource use and manage expenses related to production and development systems and services.
What we are looking for…

5+ years of software engineering and system administration
Previous DevOps experience
Strong Windows and Linux administration experience
Strong Java and/or C# experience
Relational Database (SQL Server Azure, 2008, 2012 )
Cloud service platform (Azure, AWS)
Knowledge of IP networking (VPN, DNS, load balancing and firewalls)
Shell Scripting Language (PowerShell, Python, Perl, etc...)
Build Automation workflows and patterns
Continuous Integration Servers (Team City and/or Jenkins)
Artifacts Management repository experience (Nuget and/or Maven)
Agile methodologies and Lean Development techniques (Scrum and/or Kanban)
Nice to have…

Distributed Version Control Systems (Git), branching patterns, trunk based development
MongoDB (or other NoSQL database)
Test Automation Frameworks (Selenium)
Multi-Tenant SaaS environment experience
Experience with setting up Static Code Analysis
Previous experience with smart clients (iOS, Android, Windows) continuous deployment
Experience with configuration management systems
