Globechain is looking for a Business Development Manager, preferably with B2B marketplace/SaaS /ecommerce START UP experience, interested in driving international expansion, while creating positive social impact.

About us
We are a multi award winning reuse marketplace that connects corporate companies to charities and small businesses to redistribute unneeded items, which creates valuable social impact data (ESG data).

We focus on retail, office, construction and medical sectors and operate globally, with the initial markets being in UK, Spain and US.

We have won many awards, including ‘Forbes start-up to watch in 2019’. Our objective is to become the largest reuse marketplace globally and we are growing our team to achieve this.

About you

The Business Development Manager is expected to expand their customer-base across the UK by converting qualified sales leads into paying customers! You'll become a product specialist, prospecting and identifying opportunities, conducting online and face-to-face demos, negotiating and closing deals.

You will need to be a highly results-driven individual with an outgoing personality and excellent social skills. You must be persistent, tenacious and sophisticated with a natural ability to pitch and sell.

We are a growing startup with huge ambitions so you must be prepared to demonstrate continued commitment, be a real team player and the resilience need to close deals on a consistent basis.


Responsibilities
• Prospecting/identifying sales opportunities (building & managing your pipeline)
• Manage sales process from beginning to end and a strong closer
• Setting up and running product demos
• Communicating key benefits to potential customers (calls, emails, meetings etc.)
• Negotiating fees and payment terms
• Closing deals



Requirements
• 7-10 years proven of consultative sales
• Proven track record and ability to continuously hit target
• The ability to build rapport instantly with both prospects and clients
• An ambitious and highly motivated individual with a great work ethic and self starter
• Ambition to create global social impact and articulate the value proposition
• Comfortable being part of an early-stage startup
• The desire to be a part of something from the ground up i.e. persistence & resilience
