Senior Systems Architect

Ginger Analytics is the corporate entity for LoopChat and LoopChat Pay, based in Berkeley, CA. We are a FinTech focused on convenience, inclusion and efficiency in the financial system. To accelerate adoption, we have embedded this capability in a social media platform, focused initially on college students. Our phase 1 is pilot program at UC Berkeley. We launched in August 2019 and have gained approximately 25% adoption among incoming students at UC Berkeley. We are anticipating Series A in early 2020. After which, our phase 2 expansion it so scale up at other large size colleges across the United States. Co-founders are experienced and successful entrepreneurs.

We are looking for a Senior Systems Architect to join our core management team. Compensation will be commensurate to experience and early employee equity package. We are looking for motivated and energetic colleague who shares our product vision, can bring deep and breadth of IT knowledge and experience, and strong management skills. We currently have 15 full time IT engineer staff in another location.

DUTIES AND EXPECTATIONS:
- Work with CTO to manage development team
- Work with marketing staff to develop technology roadmap
- Creative mindset to develop unique and useful functionality
- Knowledge of encryption and security required for payments and banking applications
- Entrepreneurial spirit and "can do" attitude to finish projects thoroughly and effectively
- Execute to success through diligent planning, attention to detail, effective delegation and efficient decision-making

REQUIREMENTS:
- Both deep and broad experience and knowledge of technology used in social media, instant messaging, Fintech (particularly mobile payments)
- Demonstrated success in a startup or technology company environment critical problem solving and action-oriented attitude is
- Experience managing development team in remote non-US location and environment
- Demonstrated ability to work with marketing teams to build flexible and optimal technology product roadmaps to meet various needs
- Experience with both iOS/Android and Windows/Mac development platforms
- Experience with encryption and data security
- Experience with Java/Go front end and back end development
- Experience with UI/UX issues
