Position Overview:
Fylm TV is seeking an experienced lawyer specializing in the entertainment industry. This position will be on a contracted basis, with the potential for a retainer position as the company grows. The Entertainment Lawyer will play a pivotal role in safeguarding Fylm TV's assets and ensuring legal compliance.
Entertainment Lawyer - Contract Basis (Potential Future Retainer Opportunity)
- Draft and review legal documents pertinent to Fylm TV's operations, including contracts, agreements, and licenses.
- Provide legal counsel and insights to mitigate risks and protect Fylm TV's interests.
- Assist in negotiating agreements with external parties, including filmmakers, content creators, and business partners.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations governing the entertainment industry.
- Collaborate closely with the executive team to address legal issues and develop strategic initiatives.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Demonstrated experience in entertainment law, preferably within the film or media industry.
- Proficiency in drafting legal documents and contracts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic startup environment.
