Fundraising Campaign Intern

This is a 2-month summer internship for 35 hours per week, paying $15 per hour.

You must be aged between 18 and 30 and be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or refugee. International students are not eligible

The daily responsibilities include:

• Research prospective donors
• Create a strong fundraising message that appeals to potential donors
• Identify and contact potential donors
• Use online platforms to raise donations
• Organize campaigns or events to solicit donations
• Maintain records of donor information
• Evaluate the success of previous fundraising events
• Collaborate with Field Organizer to train and manage volunteers in fundraising procedures and practices
• Collaborate with Finance lead to ensure that all legal reporting requirements are satisfied
• Devise long-term fundraising strategies and oversee their successful implementation at all levels

The following skills can be requisite in fundraising roles:

• Good social skills and networking skills
• Computer skills, especially database management
• Organisational skills
• An ability to solve problems and take initiative, and a willingness to take responsibility for the management of accounts and confrontation of obstacles
• Previous experience with databases an asset
• Interest in digital currency fundraising an asset
