We are currently looking for a skilled Simulation Engineer (Robotics) in the Detroit, MI area. This will be a full-time position.

What You Will Be Doing:

Developing automation concepts for manufacturing systems
Testing the performance, durability, safety and functionality of engineering solutions in a virtual environment.
Configuring Robot Controller Simulation (RCS) in the simulation software
Developing off-line complete robot programs with FANUC robots
Machine sequencing
Verifying the feasibility of solutions and processes.
Finding and solve issues before the manufacturing phase.
Validating the cycle time of each station/line.
Optimizing robot programs and find solutions in case of cycle time issues.
Developing 3D layout for the robotic simulation
Validation of processes in work cells / stations
Simulating Robot moves to verify cycle time, reachability and feasibility, safety and ergonomics regulations.
Documenting all processes and instructions
Communicating and working with customers
Required Skills/Qualifications:

5+ years of Robotic Simulation/Robotics Engineering experience
Basics of Robot applications i.e. Spot Welding, Arc Welding, Sealer/Dispense, Riveting, Palletization, Robotic Material, Handling, Paint, etc.
Mechanical understanding of industrial equipment and machinery
Experience in 3D Robotic Simulation tools, particularly Process Simulate. FANUC ROBOGUIDE, Delmia, RobCAD, and other simulation software experience is a plus
Proficient with FANUC robotics. Comau, ABB, Kuka, Motoman, Kawasaki, etc. experience is a plus
Experience in Automation technology process
Ability to create well-written, concise technical reports
A bachelors degree in automation, engineering, or similar is preferred

Travel:
Travel to customer sites will be required from time-to-time.
