Senior Frontend Engineer

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for a talented and passionate, senior-level engineer to lead our front-end architecture and development.

Our current front-end technology is comprised of JavaScript and React. The ideal candidate is an experienced engineer that can take charge of researching, developing and leading a modern, scalable approach to building and maintaining our front-end systems, and help us take our company to the next level by continuing to build and optimize the best user-focused product of its kind.

Your work will have a direct impact on our very fast-growing community and will be seen and used by millions of people around the world.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Lead front-end engineering efforts which include researching, designing, building, and maintaining the current & future front-end systems and codebase

• Develop front-end systems with an emphasis on user-friendliness, developer-friendliness, robustness, and maintainability

• Collaborate with UI/UX designers and product developers to conceptualize and build new features end-to-end

• Establish processes for ensuring maintainability of new code and bringing old code into new standards via refactor and replacement

• Continuously monitor and improve our existing solutions to optimize performance and provide a seamless user experience

• Integrate high levels of automated test coverage into workflows

YOU SHOULD HAVE:

• Strong technical skills, the ability to independently research current problems and collaborate with other teammates to implement lasting solutions

• Excellent front-end development capabilities and the portfolio to prove it

• 4+ years of shipping software in a professional team setting

• Experience building reusable UI components

• Experience with complex responsive, mobile-first web design

• Experience with React, CSS3, Flexbox, CSS preprocessors

• Experience building consistent UI across various browsers and devices

• Passion for writing well-architected, readable code that's easy to maintain by a team of developers

• Experience creating consumer web applications and a fundamental understanding of web and mobile usability

• Familiarity with OOP and async programming

• Keen to practice test-driven development (TDD)

• Solid understanding of web performance. Intimate familiarity with browsers, their differences, the technologies available.

• You are available full-time, live in Las Vegas or are willing to relocate. This is NOT a remote position.
