We are looking for an Android Developer who possess a keen eye for detail and a passion for collaboration and getting features into production. Someone who wants to learn whilst delivering quality.

You would be working as an Android Developer within one of our cross-functional product focussed teams, working closely with backend developers, QA engineers and the product owner to deliver changes and new functionality. You would be involved in planning new work and helping the product manager decide what the team should be working on to achieve the team’s goals.


Designing, building and maintaining high performance, reliable applications for the Android platform
Writing good quality, maintainable, reusable and unit-tested Java code following best practices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design and ship new features
Work with APIs and other outside data sources
Fix bugs and improve general application performance
Assist with test automation and release management

Ideally 3+ years experience in a commercial Android development role
Strong knowledge of Java
Strong knowledge of the Android SDK and different versions of Android
Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect to backend services
Strong knowledge of Android design principles, patterns, and best practices
Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
Experience managing releases and publishing apps
Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
Familiarity with continuous integration
A passion for learning and personal development
