FarmTogether is a San Francisco-based startup that is on a mission to open up farmland investing and ownership to everyone. Our team and partners are cross-industry professionals with over 70 years of experience across farmland investing, agriculture, technology and real estate in the US and globally. Firmly believing that farmland is a safe, stable and attractive long-term investment, we are at the forefront of defining this exciting $9T asset class.
We are looking for a capital markets sales/business development person with a killer closer instinct. What matters most to us in order of descending priority:
1) Your demonstrated ability to close and your love for sales is by far the most important.
2) Thorough knowledge of the US investor landscape with $5 - 100M in investable assets.
3) Thorough knowledge of the range of financial products and their positioning in investors' portfolios.
4) Connectin to farmland is a big plus, but not necessary
We are creating a brand new asset class out of the $9 trillion global farmland market. This is a unique opportunity to join at the very beginning of this exciting journey and help grow a truly innovative financial product.
In this role, you will help sell financial products built around US farmland to accredited investors, family offices, independent wealth managers.
You will create investment materials, webinars, write articles, participate in our PR/Media efforts and serve as a voice of authority on farmland.
You inform our online product and growth strategy and closely work with our product managers, growth marketing experts, content creators and other growth channels.
You will be formulating our short-term and long-term go-to-market strategy and play a critical role in formulating the company's overall strategy.
You will structure and manage financing deals from end-to-end, negotiate deals directly with clients, design innovative facilities, securitizations and financial products.
You will assist in operational/administrative tasks related to closing and managing our investor-clients.
You should be a person that prefers a low-end base but with aggressive sales bonuses. This is a position that will pay a lot to the person that is a rapid closer - we won't cap your upside! In addition, you will receive material equity in FarmTogether itself.
We are barely a year old and already have $50M+ in farmland opportunities that need to find the right home with a diverse investor base.
You have 5+ years of experience on the fundraising side
You have 2+ years of experience selling financial products to high net worth individuals and/or family offices
Real estate experience is a big plus, farmland investing experience - an even bigger plus.
You have a tremendous work ethic and are relentless.
You are comfortable with a rapidly changing and ambiguous work environment
We offer a competitive salary and a rewarding equity package. The sales bonuses exist but are small because this role is long-term focused.
