Fairmarkit’s mission is to revolutionize procurement, starting with how tail spend is handled. Tail spend is 20% of the total spend that organizations direct to non-strategic purchases, but which comprises upwards of 80% of its transaction volume -- processes which are labor-intensive, inefficient and result in subpar financial outcomes. Examples of experience and interests we’d love to see in candidates:
Experience with recommendation systems leveraging structured and unstructured data, metadata from business processes and systems, alternative data, etc. We are curious and open to exploring how to use data we already have, as well as identifying data we don’t have but should be using.

Experience designing, building, deploying, maintaining, and iterating on enterprise software -- but with a user-centric sensibility that would be at home in a consumer app.

Experience collaborating across Product, Engineering, Research, Sales, and Ops teams to deliver on a variety of objectives, from defining experiments and tests, iterating on data analysis processes during our sales process, to helping build dashboards for monitoring operations activity. We are data-driven and proactive across the company and want to share expertise and knowledge with every team.

Excitement about building a core element of Fairmarkit’s business differentiator: our recommendations help customers leverage their own data more effectively -- reducing risk and noncompliance while saving time and money

Marketplace experience: you’ve been exposed to multi-sided marketplaces and can design experiments to optimize for different use cases. You’re excited about finding previously-unexplored areas
