Job Description:
Enertiv is seeking a detail-oriented engineering professional to join our project engineering team. Our project engineers are integral to the growth of our business by performing building surveys, conducting cost-benefit analyses, calculating ROIs, and generating project proposals for different opportunities. Our Project Engineer must interface with clients, vendors, and the sales team; as such, excellent communication is imperative. Responsibilities:
- Perform in-person building surveys
- Interpret and analyze construction, mechanical and electrical drawings as well as equipment nameplate data and manufacturer specifications
- Inspect energy systems and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to determine energy use and potential energy savings
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses
- Generate project proposals
- Evaluate the economic, engineering, or pragmatic feasibility of projects based on architectural and MEP plans on existing or new construction buildings.
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, engineers, and executive-level clients
- Act as the direct point of contact in communication with clients and stakeholders during the project scoping phase of our engagements.
- Exercise independent judgment and work as part of a team to collaboratively develop solutions with minimal supervisory input
- Maintain complicated schedules, develop project timelines, work with other trades
- Work with team to refine and improve internal processes.


Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of professional post-graduate experience in energy efficiency or HVAC sectors or developing energy efficiency projects for commercial, multifamily, hospitality or logistics properties
- Good knowledge of building mechanical system (HVAC systems)
- Experience with IoT sensors is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints and specifications
- Excellent organization, time management and planning skills – the ability to juggle multiple tasks with simultaneous deadlines is a must
- Team player and excited by the opportunity to be part of a growing startup
- Ability to inspect energy systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to determine energy use and potential energy savings
- Degree in Engineering (mechanical, electrical). An advanced degree is preferred
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and clients
- Suggest process improvements
- Strong analytical and Excel skills
- Ability to direct others while under pressure, while maintaining a high level of ethics and integrity
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to travel, as required
