emitWise is a fast-growth start-up that uses machine learning to help large enterprises monitor and manage their carbon footprint in real-time. Our mission is to accelerate the global transition towards carbon neutrality. We’re in the hunt for a Head of Carbon Reporting & Engagement to take the lead in developing our carbon measurement and reporting framework.

Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you will have ownership and autonomy over our software’s approach to carbon accounting and reporting. You’ll be using your experience in the space to enhance our product’s User Experience and ultimate value proposition.

THE JOB:
- Contribute knowledge on best practices in carbon/sustainability management and ensure these are applied accordingly across our products.
- Lead and design the data collection process for carbon reporting in conjunction with the product team, allowing for frictionless and high-quality data submission.
- Drive work and engagement with rating agencies and other strategic partners, becoming the business' go-to expert on materiality topics.
- Collaborating with communications and marketing to ensure company achievements are effectively communicated for brand enhancement purposes.
- Developing close relationships with our users to truly understand their pain points and improve our product offering.

MUST HAVE:
- 3+ years’ experience working in a carbon reporting-focused sustainability role.
- Strong project management experience with great attention to detail and proven analytical capabilities, ideally in a data-driven environment.
- Familiarity with external reporting standards, rating agencies and broader trends.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with previous experience of engaging sustainability professionals at the executive level.
- Genuine passion and desire to accelerate action towards a globally carbon-neutral society through data and entrepreneurship.
- Willingness to work rigorously to meet tight deadlines and help sustain the organisation’s high-growth habits.
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience working in a fast-growing start-up environment.
- A background in engineering, data science, or computer science.
