Role Description:

Reporting to the Head of Marketing at Echobox, the Marketing Intelligence and Operations Manager owns, executes and improves the data, intelligence and operations requirements of the marketing department. This role understands every aspect of the buyer/customer journey, ensuring that the business appropriately collects, processes and harnesses the data & insight required for effective targeted marketing and lead generation, as well as ensuring the efficient and scaled operation of the marketing function and its link through to sales.

This role contributes to revenue generated from both new and existing customers by developing effective top-level and granular intelligence (customer, prospect, account-level, market and competitive), as well as designing and executing key operational processes across our content marketing, account-based marketing, demand generation, sales development and user communications campaigns.

You will have an analytical mind and a passion for the quality and quantity of data, technology and operations inherent in modern B2B marketing. You will be highly organised with real attention to detail and the ability to grasp new tech quickly. You will be comfortable with getting into the detail of our databases and ensuring we have accurate information to deliver highly personalised and valuable marketing-led interactions. You will have a flair for making the complex simple, being able to find ways of visualising and simplifying data to highlight trends and inconsistencies.

You will have a proven ability to efficient and effective marketing intelligence, analytics and/or operations. A self-starter, you will pose new ideas and process improvements and be able to switch between different aspects of the marketing funnel at pace.

Responsibilities:

Build and maintain effective and scalable processes for marketing automation and lead generation automation

Ensure effective lead handover to sales

Assist marketing team across the campaign data cycle - from selection to analysis

Build and maintain marketing prospect and customer databases, ensuring good hygiene and accurate segmentation, classification, suppression and enrichment

Develop and refine our data-gathering processes - analysing, verifying and enriching new sources.

Source and manage GDPR-compliant data and insight providers

Mine data to develop customer/product insights to inform marketing strategy and content creation.

Stay on top of CRM / database marketing best practice and trends

Develop and maintain clear documentation and definitions for key marketing processes, technology & automation to ensure clarity and consistency.

Develop and maintain overall marketing and campaign-specific performance dashboards and reporting, including attribution and ROI.

Monitor and report competitor and customer activity, trends and changes

Maintain and develop the marketing technology stack, on-boarding new tech, resolving issues and managing subscriptions, invoicing and best-practice.

Track, report and forecast marketing investment versus budget

Manage central repository of marketing assets and versions

Requirements:

Academic Requirements

A 2:1 degree (or equivalent) from a reputable university
Fluent written and spoken English

Required Skills and Experience

Experience in a marketing analytics/data/insight/intelligence and/or marketing operations within a B2B Tech or SAAS business

Significant experience with database marketing platforms and marketing automation tools (e.g. Salesforce / Hubspot or similar); excellent knowledge of Spreadsheets and digital analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Data Studio)

Broad knowledge of modern digital B2B marketing methods, metrics and typical management tools

Experience in marketing analysis and presentation of key insights to non-technical audiences

Preferred Skills and Experience

A marketing qualification

Knowledge of best practice in operations automation, attribution, lead processing and database management

Knowledge of GDPR and data management best practice
