DynamiCare Health is a personalized coaching program reinforces a person's reduction or recovery from substances by combining a cutting-edge smartphone app, substance testing hardware, positive reinforcement, and a supportive telehealth coach. At our core is an evidence-based approach called Contingency Management, that provides financial rewards for healthy behavior placed on a smart debit card that blocks cash withdrawals and certain types of risky spending. The company was founded in 2016 by a Harvard MBA tech executive and an international expert in addiction psychiatry. To date, we have raised $4.1 million in funding to date from investors including Hyperplane VC and leading mental health and addiction advocate, former U.S. Rep. Patrick J. Kennedy.

Our company has won a number of awards, including two Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Ohio Opioid Technology Challenge Grand Prize, the Global Grand Prize in the Harvard Business School Alumni New Venture Competition, and we are also a proud alum of the MassChallenge HealthTech accelerator.


JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a full-stack Senior Marketing Manager to build out DynamiCare Health’s marketing function, with a strong emphasis on demand generation for our recently launched direct-to-consumer offerings. This role combines marketing strategy, content creation, analysis, and operations.

We need someone with a strong understanding of the problem of substance use and how to speak to the various communities involved in the issue. We recently launched our direct-to-consumer offering, and your primary focus will be in recruiting members for this program through online and offline efforts.

You will report to and work closely with the Head of Operations. As our initial full-time marketing hire, you will also manage the work produced by various marketing support contractors. Your role will evolve as the company grows and our needs change.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Demand Generation — spearhead campaigns to grow the customer base for our direct-to-consumer offerings.

Content Marketing — using keyword and topic research, oversee the production of highly relevant content for our website, email series, social channels, press releases, etc.

Marketing Operations — oversee the technology and processes needed for marketing to operate efficiently and scale with quality.

Research & Analysis — conduct audience research; keyword and content research; run A/B/n experiments to determine which marketing strategies work best for our offerings; develop and monitor marketing KPIs.

Sales Enablement — support the sales team marketing collateral including slide presentations, brochures, and trade show booth development.

Contractor Oversight — manage the work of all marketing support contractors, including graphic designers, copywriters, printers, and web developers.

Go-to-Market Strategy — work together with the Head of Operations and CEO to determine where, when, and how to reach clearly defined audiences for our direct-to-consumer offerings. Specifically, validate our target audience personas, craft and test key messaging and buyer journeys for each persona, and define the inbound and outbound efforts we’ll use to attract and convert them.


QUALIFICATIONS

Ownership of growth-related metrics — demonstrated success in demand generation for an early-stage company.

5+ years digital marketing experience — price of admission here. Must have expertise in SEO, SEM and digital ad campaign management, CRM, CRO, email marketing, landing page design, funnel marketing, some foundational HTML and CSS, and web analytics to ensure that our campaigns are driving qualified traffic.

Industry experience — prior experience in healthcare, wellness, or other highly regulated markets strongly preferred. Similarly important is a strong understanding of addiction and how to communicate to the key audiences involved, from families and individuals, to treatment providers, researchers, and insurers.

Audience focused — you love learning about and from target audiences, and have experience conducting user interviews, focus groups, etc.

Creativity — should have creative ideas for how to tell our story, evidence data, member success stories.

Self-directed — don’t mistake this for, “You’re on your own”. The Head of Operations will work with you to set quarterly goals and weekly priorities, and will also have a couple check-ins throughout the week. But it’s critical that you can carve your own path to making progress against those priorities.

Excellent copywriting skills — grammar is important, and so is the ability to write with some personality and tell an impactful story.

Tech savvy — we use a pretty dizzying array of SAAS products, so the ability to quickly achieve proficiency with a new piece of software is a must.

Data literate — we need someone who loves tracking KPIs and who can figure out and communicate what our experiments have to say about what’s working and what’s not. You need to know how to manipulate data and perform spreadsheet calculations to create reports (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, formatting, and dashboards).

A thirst to learn — you proactively look things up on your own, figure out how to accomplish tasks in unfamiliar areas, and seek training and advice to improve your skills.
