POSITION SUMMARY AND OPPORTUNITY

As the Director of Product Management for Data and Analytics, you are responsible for the overall strategy of the data platform and analytics solutions that power the Duetto suite of applications.

You will be responsible for the data platform end to end - this includes establishing roadmaps around Duetto’s data infrastructure and data pipeline, internal tools to measure customer usage and performance, and the analytical models that power our 3 core products.

Given the complexity of the hospitality industry and Duetto’s position as an innovator, data acquisition and analytics is pivotal to the company’s current solutions and future product innovation. In this growth phase, change is constant and we need someone who can learn new areas, work with a cross-functional team, and doesn’t shy away from challenges.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Establish the product vision and strategy for Duetto’s Data Platform, as well as goals to measure success
Build a scalable platform by anticipating use cases and identify opportunities where Duetto can expand its data set by understanding customer needs and researching industry trends
Understand the needs of internal users (engineers, data scientists, data analysts, finance, and business teams) and the needs and use cases of customers that depend on that data
Use quantitative analysis and data to improve our products and prioritize projects for impact
Develop product roadmaps that build alignment across product teams and deliver value to our users; drive the agile process with stories, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives by working with a team of engineers and data scientists
REQUIREMENTS

7+ years of product management experience, hospitality industry experience a plus
Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to work effectively across the business and with external partners and customers
Proven track record of launching successful products where data and analytical models are a critical part of the solution
Familiarity with Big Data infrastructure technologies, relational databases and data products generally
Deep understanding of statistical analysis (e.g. regressions, hypothesis testing, and experimentation) and familiarity with statistical packages
Ability to quickly absorb technical concepts and effectively simplify and communicate them to a non-technical audience
Technical and able to garner respect from engineers
Computer Science, Math, Economics or other quantitative B.S. Degree preferred
Located in our San Francisco office
