At Draftbit, we believe that software should be a democratizing agent that makes it possible for anyone to turn their app ideas into reality.

Draftbit is a collaborative product development tool, focused on mobile apps. Our platform allows technical and non-technical teams to work together to build native mobile apps. Apps built in Draftbit produce high quality React Native code that can be exported at any time so you can build inside and outside our platform.

Backed by world-class investors (including Y Combinator), we have aggressive growth goals and are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help us achieve our vision.

// About The Position: //

We're looking for an experienced engineer who can step in and quickly level up our small team. Because we're a seasoned team of builders, we know that we only succeed if we hire people who bring fresh thinking, diverse experiences, and a deep sense of mission. You must be someone who can make us and our products better.

Since we're a young, fast-growing company, we also need you to be a generalist -- we all work on everything. We value self-management, execution over perfection, speed, and personal reliability.

We're building Draftbit with a combination of Javascript, React, React Native, ReasonML, Node, Hapi, Postgres, Graphql, Apollo, Heroku, AWS, and more.

// How We Work: //

These values define how we work:
* Collaboration. While we value self-management, we eschew siloed work. We don't make decisions by committee, but we do include everyone in our processes to reach those decisions and thrive on new ideas and constructive feedback
* Agility. We are not process slaves. We are self-reflective and are constantly optimizing our methods as our company evolves.
* Craftsmanship. We take pride in our work and delight in building experiences our customers love -- this means a calculated approach that involves us measuring twice and cutting once.
* Empathy. For our customers, and our team. What we're building isn't easy, and we need everyone's help, feedback, and perspective to get there.

// Who You Are: //

You likely have several years of experience building software at startups or other high-growth companies and your colleagues would describe you as:
* A mentor - you are the person your teammates go to for counsel on the toughest technical challenges.
* A student - you are relentlessly curious and constantly introduce new technologies, concepts, etc to the team
* A missionary - when you join a company, you do so because you’re deeply connected to it’s mission and demonstrate that daily by acting like an owner
* A stalwart - you are at your best in chaos and others count on you to navigate the fluidity of growth company environment

// Additional Details: //

This is a full-time position either based at our Chicago HQ or remote.

Note: You'll need valid U.S. work authorization to join us.

Some of our perks are:
* Full health, medical, dental, and vision coverage - we pay 99.9% of your premiums and 50% of dependents’ premiums.
* Unlimited sick, personal, and vacation days. And we can flex on hours or accommodate special considerations.
* Standing desks for all and the equipment of your choice
* Chance to work with decent, fair, and flexible people

We believe in fair pay and transparency, and we anticipate this position's compensation to be between $70k to $120k in cash and .25% to 1% in equity, depending on experience.
