After a successful re-branding in late 2018, Dorsia is ready to build a core editorial team that will help the company's world dominance (kinda literally). The copywriter/researcher coming onboard will bring his/her best creative foot forward to meet the weekly and monthly goals for the content department as Dorsia expands into new cities and updates + prunes existing cities.

-This person will help the head of content input new locations into the system so that the app and website are up to date, as well as help launch new cities as necessary

-The candidate must have a firm grasp on the brand voice and carry that throughout every piece of copy that will appear on our website and app

-The candidate will be trained and expected to accomplish a minimum of 10 locations per day once trained

-We need to be as accurate as possible, after all, we are the ever-evolving guidebook: accuracy and timeliness is key for Dorsia's survival. We never want to be stale!

The Role

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

-Finding the newest hotspots around the world, local haunts, and iconic favorites such as restaurants, bars, cafes, museums, parks, etc. We want locations that standout, whether it's an incredible hole in the walls serving incredible cocktails or Michelin-starred newbies.

-Once selected, researching these locations by collecting the location's address, contact information, business hours, pricing and properly categorizing locations (pricing, type of location, atmosphere etc.), and sourcing images

-Write short, pithy, and engaging, descriptions for restaurants, bars, shop, and hotels while following and adhering to the style guide

-We are looking for people to be this for the long haul and nailing the brand voice is imperative. Basically, you need to be a team player, able to jump on new projects quickly, and willing to learn at startup speed (which is fast!)

-This is an hourly position $20/an hour, potentially more depending on experience

-2+ years of experience in creative writing/journalism for print and online publications

-This position is based in New York but can be remote

-We are a small team so there is a major growth opportunity as the company itself continues to grow
