Responsibilities

You will, under the direction of the Privacy and Regulatory Counsel:

  • Research US and foreign privacy and telecommunications laws for potential impact on the Dialpad’s services, including GDPR/CCPA and related regulations and FCC and international telecommunications regulations.
  • Prepare applications, filings, and correspondence to regulators in the US and abroad, including licensing, data mapping, and Data Protection Impact Assessments
  • Develop internal and external communications that turn complex regulations into understandable guidance
  • Understand company products and practices to develop compliance strategy

Requirements

  • J.D. from an ABA accredited law school
  • License in good standing to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction
  • 3-5 years of substantive privacy and/or telecommunications regulatory experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • In-house experience or law firm experience advising clients on privacy and regulatory matters
  • Strong research and analytical skills combined with the capability to communicate your results clearly and concisely
  • Background in tech-forward lawyering; enthusiasm for telecommunications, SaaS, and big data a plus
