Job Description

Device Magic is a profitable, scaling SaaS startup located in downtown Raleigh, NC whose Mobile Forms product helps companies leverage their remote workforce to collect information with their phones and tablets.

We are looking for an experienced digital marketer to own and run large-scale email communications and marketing automation. Your top priority is to create and manage effective email communications for customers, trial users, past customers, and other prospects. You will plan and manage email content, segmenting, cadences, and workflow automation. Your goals are to reduce customer churn, nurture prospects into paying customers, execute upsell campaigns, and run other email campaigns such as review requests, surveys, and promotions.

Approximately 10% of your time will be spent managing Device Magic’s social media channels. Post content as provided by the content team, manage community communications & responses, determine strategies for the growth and health of our online social presence.

As part of a small, close-knit marketing team, you will have a direct impact on the success of the company. You will work closely with the VP of Marketing and Marketing Program Manager as we continue to grow our marketing machine. However, you are expected to take ownership of your role; make decisions, offer creative ideas and new solutions.


A qualified candidate must have previously managed segmented email campaigns & email workflow automation. Your responsibilities include:

• Manage email segmentation, content, contacts, and campaigns
• Configure, optimize, and update automation of email communications to various audiences
• Manage Hubspot as well as any other email and automation platforms. Determine proper tools and platforms to achieve your goals.
• Ensure accurate contact data mapping, merge duplicate contacts, etc.
• Own social media messaging, branding and appearance, and comment curation
• Post regular content to social media as appropriate for each platform
• Act as company voice within social media communities


• Experience with email marketing platforms (iContact, Mailchimp, etc.)
• Knowledge of email best practices, regulations, and deliverability factors
• Proven success in creating and managing email workflows and automation.
• Hubspot experience highly preferred. Marketo, Pardot, or similar experience will also be considered
• Mix of creative & analytical mindset
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to manage projects and deadlines
• Working knowledge of Salesforce
• Some Photoshop experience preferred


• 3+ years of email marketing experience
• 1+ years of social media community management
• BA/BS Required
• Demonstrated expertise in running successful email campaigns
• Experience working in SaaS highly preferred
• Location is Raleigh, NC (no remote)
