DECKSTR Board of Advisor Role - Law

* * * QUALIFICATIONS * * *

–– You have an undergraduate degree with at least 5 years of experience
OR an advanced degree with at least 1 year of experience in your field

–– You are based in the United States and are willing to travel, and speak
at a Deckstr event 1-2 times per year.

–– Your primary area of expertise lies in one of the following areas:
IP Law, Securities Law.

–– You have relevant experience in at least one of these other areas: Social
Psychology, First-hand fundraising or investing experience in startups,
Product Marketing, IP Law, Product Development / Product
Management or Engineering (IT, Software Engineering, Computer
Science).

–– Available to participate in quarterly conference calls with other
advisors, facilitated by the founder/CEO.

–– Available for email support and input on business matters/questions
initiated by Deckstr’s leadership.

–– You have access to video conferencing technology, wifi, cellular device

–– You do not require Visa sponsorship.



* * * RESPONSIBILITIES * * *

–– Attend (required) quarterly board meetings

–– Review and provide input on meeting agenda, meeting notes, and
status reports

–– Assist with market research, by providing insight and data sources for
business planning and implementation purposes

–– Be informed about Deckstr’s products, services, programs, and
initiatives

–– Assess the currency of Deckstr’s product and services

–– Share tech industry developments as it relates to Deckstr and your field
of expertise

–– Provide support and advice for Deckstr’s products/services, assist in
the development of new products/services, and identify best practice
standards

–– Provide input to Work Deckstr’s leadership and other advisory board
members to ensure that its product and services are delivering on its
value proposition

–– Assist Deckstr with developing relevant business and professional
network and contacts

–– Serve as an ambassador and advocate for Deckstr’s products and
services

–– Assist by promoting Deckstr via social media platforms, speaking
engagements, press interviews, written referrals, and recommendations

–– Assist by providing input on developing relevant profiles and
identification of potential (strategic and market) partners and contacts

–– Assist in identification and acquisition (when appropriate) of external
funding and resources to support Deckstr (e.g. grants, investments,
partnerships)

–– Assist in the identification and recruitment of new board members



* * * MUST HAVE CHARACTERISTICS * * *

–– Ability to: listen, analyze, think clearly and creatively, work well with
people individually and in a group, and provide constructive feedback.

–– Willing to: prepare for and attend board meetings, ask questions, share
ideas, opinions, and experiences, and open doors in the field.

–– Verifiable Experience with Recruiting, Developing, Leading and
Managing women and minority employees; or prior experience as a
founder of a company offering products and services to the same
group.

–– Required Advisory Board Meetings

–– Advisory board meetings will be held during the middle of each quarter.

–– Total preparation, attendance, and follow-up on Board matters are
approximately 20 hours/year. Attendance is mandatory, two absences
are cause for removal from the board.

–– Board of Advisors’ Meeting will be held during the middle month of
each quarter and via a secured conference bridge and web-sharing
application.

–– Meeting agenda(s) will be provided five business days before scheduled
meetings. At the end of each meeting, the Board of Advisors and

–– Founder/CEP will set date (and time) for the next quarterly meeting.


* * * ADVISORY BOARD MEMBER COMPENSATION * * *

–– This is a stock-options based role, with a 20-hour/per year, 90
minutes/per meeting, 4 meetings per year commitment.

–– Deckstr will cover all onsite costs associated with advisory board
meetings such as space rental, technology costs (call/video
conferencing, equipment rental, etc.), food services, parking and local
travel expenses (mileage, toll, parking). All other expenses will be the
responsibility of the advisory board member. Written pre-approval is
required by Deckstr’s leadership for all expenses resulting from service
on the board of Deckstr’s Board of Advisors.
