Regional Accounting Manager - EMEA

Dataiku is seeking a Regional Accounting Manager to join our accounting and finance team in Paris. The role will report into the Corporate Controller located in New York City.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

Monthly Close and General Ledger Accounting- Responsible for the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing under US-GAAP and Statutory GAAP for the EMEA entities; currently France, UK, and UAE

• Manage and develop a team of 2 accountants
• Work with the tax function to ensure compliance with French Tax requirements (CVAE, CFE, tax return, VAT declarations and refund, CIT, customs declarations, Banque de France, INSEE, etc)
• Perform timely and accurate reviews of all balance sheet reconciliations
• Participate in the implementation of a global close management tool
• Work with the tax function on the implementation of updated transfer pricing studies and intercompany agreements
• Serve as the primary contact for all external auditors in EMEA
• Ensure close collaboration with the US finance team
• Work with tax function on calculating amounts for the French R&D tax credit programs
• Oversee the preparation and submission of the annual accounts in various countries within EMEA.
• Proactively review accounts to ensure all financial transactions are valid and recorded to ensure accuracy of reported data
• Review and/or record requested company cross-charges and manual journal entries including proper documentation
• Set up internal control procedures in conjunction with the US finance group
• Ensure correct valuation and completeness of all assets and liabilities

Accounts Payable- Manage and develop the global Accounts Payable team of 2 employees

• Oversee the implementation of a vendor selection and onboarding process
• Oversee the implementation of an accounts payable management tool
• Oversee the disbursement of payments to vendors
• Manage cash requirements with the US finance team
• Ensure and maintain strict controls around expenditure inclusive of T&E.
• Oversee the reimbursement of employees for T&E expenses

Experience and Skills

• Degree in business administration, Accounting or equivalent.
• Accounting qualification: DSCG, with ideally an experience within a firm
• A total of 10+ years of experience which includes strong experience in international companies, audits and fast close
• Robust Accounting knowledge under US-GAAP, French GAAP and French tax
• Strong working knowledge of the purchase-to-pay cycle
• High integrity and work ethic
• Willingness to travel when necessary
• Ability to work autonomously and well in teams
• Strong Excel and accounting software skills
• Fluent in English and French
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Willingness to extend themselves and assist other people
