We are looking for a Swift developer to build a lightweight interactive gesture and swiping-based game within our therapy app.

The game’s visuals are designed and ready to go. As an experienced Swift developer, you should be able to recreate these designs and the game’s interaction model using the most appropriate parts of the iOS SDK: SpriteKit, UIKit and maybe others.

The game will help users master their responsiveness to on-screen stimuli that will be slightly different every time the game is played. The closest analogy to the game is the popular ‘Guitar Hero’-type of interaction where the user is faced with an accelerating pattern of obstacles that move towards the user, which they have to swipe/move away from, or stay in rhythm with as best as possible. A game session will last a few minutes at most.

If you’ve built casual 2D games for iOS before, we’d love to hear from you!

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

- High proficiency in the Swift programming language
- Demonstrable experience using SpriteKit
- An eye for quality and detail, to faithfully reproduce the game’s ready-made designs
- An understanding of casual gaming development
- Great communication and collaboration skills for productive remote work
- An ability to write clear, well-commented code that can be incorporated into the existing app codebase

WHAT YOU WON’T NEED:

- To develop an entire app. The game will feature inside an existing app, with authentication / user ID already taken care of
- To design the look and feel of the game yourself. You’ll be provided with a precise visual direction and animated mockups of what the game will look like when played.
