VP of Engineering

We are expanding rapidly and are seeking new, experienced and hands-on team members who think outside of the box (and are not afraid to share their thoughts), will deliver unique ideas and like to work in a fast-paced environment on cutting edge projects.

Our mission

We seek to develop new use cases for non-fungible assets with a focus on physical applications, as well as pioneer Web3 technologies that bring blockchain experiences to existing CMS platforms.

The VP of Engineering is all about building, recruiting, management, internal communication and delivery — getting the product out the door, while ensuring the team is hitting their mark. Furthermore, the role will help to grow the software engineering team, establish the engineering culture and remove impediments to help team members be able to provide their best.

Required

• At least 5 years of back-end, server-side software development.
• Understanding of and experience working in the financial/fintech industry.
• Strong experience with server-side languages like Golang, TypeScript/Node.JS, Java, Python, etc.
• Strong experience with PHP and SQL databases like MySQL or Postgres.
• Knowledge of Solidity with the ability to code complex smart contracts.
• Familiarity and hands-on experience with IPFS.
• Understanding of Web3 trends.
• Confident with RESTful API design.
• Great with unit and functional testing and debugging.
• Experience in Git/GitHub and branching methodologies, code review tools, CI tools, etc.
• Understanding of and strong interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain.
• Great at algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, applied mathematics, or another technical discipline from a top university.
• Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn alternative smart contract languages such as Flow and Scilla.\
• In-depth understanding of WordPress, Magento and Shopify platforms with the ability to create custom plugins/extensions.
• Experience with microservices and service-oriented architectures.
• Familiarity with any of the following: digital wallets, clearing and settlement, lending, trading, accounting systems, etc.
• Ability to work full-stack and familiarity with React and GraphQL.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with large-scale, real-time, and distributed applications.

Compensation

• 3% company equity, with vesting options up to 5%.
• 3% token equity, with vesting options up to 5%.
• A strong, competitive salary upon reaching seed round of funding. In the range of $125k-$150k/ year.
