Front-End Software Engineer

We are a high-growth FinTech startup using data and machine learning to revolutionise the insurance industry. You will be joining an established team, working to build machine learning products that are fundamentally changing the way insurers see the world, enabling them to move from an assumption based understanding of risk, to an empirical, data-driven view.

The Role

What working as a Senior Front End Engineer at Cytora looks like:

You will work in an agile, multidisciplinary team of UX designers, engineers and product managers to build powerful solutions that will allow our clients to access our various product API’s. As the technical face of our products, our Developer Experience team is looking for someone to develop a front end which will be customer-centric, functional and informative for our clients.

Your role will be to develop rich user interfaces using JavaScript/React, provide feedback to product managers, contribute to product roadmaps, and translate mockups into living applications using minimal, scalable CSS. At Cytora, our values are at the core of our teams and our products. We put the customer first, ship fast, and iterate.

The tech stack is React, Redux, microservices written in Go and Python, Agile Kanban.

Requirements

What we look for in candidates:

* Experience building and maintaining full stack JavaScript production-grade web applications
* Commercial experience with the JavaScript frameworks and libraries
* Strong working knowledge of agile fundamentals and frameworks
* Experience working with API’s and services

Nice to Have:

* Experience in UX/UI design
* Startup experience: building working products quickly
