Culture Trip is a global hyper-growth startup operating in travel, media and entertainment. We create stories that reveal what is unique and special about a place, its people and its culture. In-house creative teams work with a global network of more than 300 freelance creators to produce articles, videos, photography, illustration and animation.  

From just a dozen people in late 2016, the team has expanded to more than 250. This diverse group of software engineers, product designers, data scientists, editorial experts and content creators are spread across offices in London, New York City and Tel Aviv. Alumni of companies including Google, Facebook, Expedia, Lonely Planet, Spotify, Bloomberg, Viacom, TripAdvisor and the BBC have joined recently. A recent Series B funding injection from PPF Group of $80 million has further propelled rapid growth. Monthly unique visitors to the site have gone from 4 million to nearly 20 million, cross-platform social followers have increased from 1 million to 7 million, and app downloads have leapt from 50,000 to 2 million. Culture Trip videos have been viewed more than 2 billion times. Culture Trip, founded by Dr Kris Naudts, has been named by Forbes as one of the fastest-growing companies to watch.

We are looking for an exceptional editor to join our Branded Content Team at a very exciting time of growth. You’ll work globally from the London office and mobilise a commercial-grade network of writers, ensuring Culture Trip’s house style and creative guidelines are embodied in every word - from pre-sale ideation to post-sale execution. You’ll have an eagle-eye for detail and be an accomplished writer who maintains meticulous standards across multiple campaigns at any one time.

Main Responsibilities
> Commission a range of high-quality editorial articles and features, spanning themes including travel, food & drink, wellness, art, culture and things to do.
> Mobilise a global network of expert freelance writers, ensuring editorial excellence in every piece published.
> Write sparkling copy and editorial features across campaigns as and when required.
> Ensure Culture Trip’s house style and creative strategy is distilled into every word.
> Provide an endless source of inventive and inspirational ideas in response to clients’ briefs. 
> Work closely with the director of commercial content and team leads to develop fresh, innovative new written treatments for branded content.
> Work closely with account managers, branded content lead and creative teams to deliver all copy on time and within agreed budgets.
> Work with creative producers and the branded content lead to manage project management schedules and timelines.
> Keep abreast of social trends, innovative content and campaigns, feeding in regular recommendations to the team. 
> Be an internal champion for branded content, always striving to elevate the creative excellence of campaigns and championing the work of the team.

Desired skills and experiences
> At least several years’ experience as an editor and writer, with an impressive portfolio of bylines in travel publishing and branded content.
> You should possess an excellent freelance network and be able to map specialist writers to briefs with ease.
> You should have an eagle-eye for detail.
> A deep understanding of the branded content marketplace, the media landscape and Culture Trip’s position in it.
> Demonstrable experience of contributing to written campaigns for a broad range of clients in one or more of the following industries: travel, tourism, entertainment, FMCG and financial services.
> You should have a clear understanding of Culture Trip’s audience, including where and how we connect with our audience across our platforms and social channels. 
> You should have a solid understanding of writing and commissioning content for search and social audiences.
> You should be a pro at fostering positive working relationships with colleagues at varying levels of seniority across multiple teams.
> You should be a highly collaborative team who thrives on working together with colleagues in order to deliver exceptional work.
> You should be highly passionate about creating outstanding branded content.
> You should be in your element in a fast-paced, highly creative environment, and be agile enough to juggle multiple projects at any one time be able to adapt quickly to the needs of the business.
> You should be an advocate for Culture Trip’s mission to bring the world to everyone.
